Let's talk for a second about how great families are? Goodness. Families always know how to make you laugh, they know what to say and when to say it, they love you unconditionally, they are honest with you, and they push you to be your best self. How great is it to always know you have your own personal fan club? I'll tell you how great it is...it's freakin' awesome.
My family lives in WV. I live in Utah. Not ideal. I have always loved my family, but it was not until I moved to Utah for college that I realized how much I needed this lovely group of people. When I was forced to face the world on my own, I realized I just wanted mom and dad to hold my hand. Some days I just want a hug from mom and a chin up from dad, but I can't always have that. Being away from my family has helped me to grow up and to grow up fast. I have learned how to problem solve, fend for myself, and learned to rely on good friends always. I have been blessed to have so many great friends behind me always who openly welcome me into their homes and their lives. It is always great! and I am thankful every day for it. But, through it all , nothing beats being my flesh and blood.
