How Fro Can You Go?

Humid much?
Ok, so maybe this is an exaggeration. I have missed home. But not the humidity. The humidity makes my body do crazy things. My hair is out of hand, I sweat just looking out my window, and I have had to teach myself how to breath again. I am waiting for the mirages to appear.  70 degree weather is supposed to be a delightful temperature. Except when it is 70 degrees with a 700% chance of humidity. It might as well be 1,000 outside. I already have issues wheezing when I run. Not to mention sweating issues. But, sure, now let's just throw humidity in to spice things up a bit. In addition to my work out clothes looking as damp as if I just took them out of the washer, people passing me probably think I suffer from emphysema. I can feel the humidity clogging my lungs. Back before I had air in my car, my grandma once asked, "Abby did you just run? You are so sweaty." Why no Grandma, I just rode in my car for 10 minutes" Sad, I know.
Ms. Frizzle.
My hair is afrotastic. It all starts on the sides of my head with my whispys. Next thing you know, BAM. Hello, DeLawder fro. I swore I would never develop the DeLawder fro. My great grandma suffered from it, my grandma suffers from it, my mom was cursed with it, next in line -my sister and I. I love them all-but, it is a serious disease in my family. Something in our genes. Remember Ms. Frizzle from the magic school bus? That's the XY hair gene in my family, minus the gingerWe once wrote a song about my mom's fro- How Fro Can you Go? What? What? How Fro can you go? Hilarious at the time. Until it has started to become relatable for me. All the curly headed women in my fam feel the need to cut their hair short and take a journey back to the 70's. . It's inevitable.I have refused to let this happen.  However, the humidity is speeding up the process with out me ever having to even cut my hair. I love, love, love, warm weather, but humidity is making me miss the cold. Here's to the North Pole.
