Trash Digging Bed Wetter

Well, this week has been the the week from Hades. If you think you had a bad week, have no fear, I can beat you. The beauty of a bad week is knowing things can only go up from here, right? Let's hope.

This week, I started Occupational Therapy School at the U. Rumor has it-- this program is killer. And after orientation, I will admit, I was terrified. I was trying hard to make a good impression on my new classmates. But, lo and behold, right before it was time to stand up and introduce myself, I spilt my water bottle right on my crotch. Perfect. So, I stood up to introduce myself and everyone saw the giant spot on my legs. Great. For the next 3 years I will probably be known as the girl who peed who pants on the first day of college.

Little did I know, I would have been blessed if that was all that happend to me that week. Within the next 5 days a whirlwind of things took over my life. Tuesday I was rear-ended. Was it that bad? No. Did I cry like a baby? Yes. I was stressed and emotional. I am pretty sure I terrified the young lad who hit me. It happens. Tuesday afternoon, I bought a new lock for my locker at school. When I went to open it, I discovered I wrote down the wrong combination. Oops. So I had to dig through the public trashcan to find it. Guess where I found it? I would tell you. On the bottom of the can under a banana peel. Guess who saw me digging through the public trashcan? Oh, just everyone at college. Now, I am the garbage can digging pants wetter.
Excellent.

Tuesday night was a real emotional roller coaster as well. With out going into detail, I will just say things happen for a reason I guess. But, after that night I was convinced nothing else could go wrong. *Cue sappy music*.
Wednesday was college and just an overall rough day. I had completed no homework and was just trying to distress. I came home Wednesday absolutely exhausted. I laid down on my bed to take a minor nap and SNAP. My mattress fell to the ground as my bed broke. OH REALLY? I just laid on the ground instead. Thursday was my first anatomy lab. Cool stuff. Want to know what is not cool? When you drop a human being's fat on your shoe. Not only that, I had forgotten to bring 2 socks. So naturally, I dropped in on my foot that I was not wearing a sock on.
Fantastic.

I came home last night just thinking about how unreal my life had been this past week. I decided to take a bath and shave my legs. Because, let's be honest, they had been neglected this week. I bet you can guess what happened next. Yeah, I  sliced my leg. So, I ran down the stairs to get and band aid and guess what happened? I slipped and fell down all the stairs. I hit the bottom step and just laughed. What else was I supposed to do? I should have cried but I truthfully was not surprised by the whole thing. There I sat, bleeding and laughing.

Today I woke up just absolutely beat. I decided to do what any girl would do. I ate an entire Symphony chocolate bar and a large diet Dr. P. oh AND  a pack of peanut butter M&M's.  Why? Because I freakin' deserve it.

However as today has gone on, I began to think about how my life can only get better from here. For some reason, I needed to have this week. And that's how the cookie crumbles. I read a talk that said, said these simple words that changed my perspective

This week has sucked beyond belief. And I am sure I will have more weeks that suck as well. Life happens . But, in the words of my girl Kelly and my boy Kanye What doesn't kill you makes your stronger, right?
How did Carly Rae get on here? What? I don't know.

  2. If you need a shoulder to cry on, or a bed to borrow (except that you have to sleep here), or some food and a family come on over. We love you!
